About Us
"Us" is Wayne Keyser,
for 26 years a professional family entertainer
(magician and clown, character actor and more)
Since my retirement a few years
ago,
I've been publishing what I've learned in those
years of "every dollar counts" shows.
I've also done extensive
research
on my favorite personal interest:
the sideshow, carnival, and modern-day burlesque.
All three have rich and fascinating histories,
and all three have been revitalized recently
by a new generation of young performers.
Since my own performance
material was a source of pride
for me (and it is still a resource I can share with others)
I also thrill to see the material that comes from
the creativity of other independent performers.
I'm thrilled to be able to pass on what I've created
to others, and I'm grateful to the many generous
and creative people who have shared with me via
my podcast "Ballycast" and my writing.
