AT THESE HAPPY FACES!

Ross
is a professional. He's been doing magic and comedy shows since 1976, and left a
government job in 1981 to make family entertainment his only business. He
entertains in homes and offices every day, and in 1991 he founded the Safety
Magic Program to bring important safety messages to the children of our area. He
produced a television program dealing with magical themes that ran twice weekly on
Arlington Cable Channel 33 for a year. Some of his fondest memories are being
selected to entertain at a Presidential inaugural ball, and making
special appearances for the White House Office for Children.
He's well-respected in his field. A longtime member of the International
Brotherhood of Magicians (I.B.M.) and the Society of American Magicians, Ross
was President of National Capital Ring 50 of the I.B.M in 1990-91.
His book "On the Midway," published in 2001, has been
acclaimed by old-time circus & carnival veterans as "an awesome piece of work …
wonderfully written" and you can see excerpts here (the Carny
& Circus Lingo Dictionary and here

from the chapter on carnival food recipes)
He specializes in entertaining families. He's a family man, the father of two
children who (in Ross's words) "keep me on my toes … every day they teach
me something new about making kids laugh". He knows how to play to the
whole family on several levels: one moment he provokes a giggle of childlike
innocence, the next he gets a smart zinger from "mommy's little
darling" … all in good taste, of course.
